About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Public Cloud Engineer to support the development, automation, integration, and administration of AWS-based cloud solutions. The individual will play a crucial role in building, deploying, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure, enhancing cloud utilisation, supporting migrations, and ensuring continuous operational stability. This role involves hands‑on engineering, troubleshooting, delivering prototypes, and contributing to cloud transformation initiatives across VOIS.

Who you are

  • Experienced in AWS cloud technologies including VPC, EC2, ECS, S3, EBS, Glacier, ELB, Elastic IPs, and Lambda.
  • Proficient in automation using CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
  • Familiar with DevOps tools such as AWS CodePipeline, Docker, Kubernetes, and HashiCorp tools.
  • Skilled in multi‑tenant AWS organisation setups.
  • Knowledge of programming and markup languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, SQL, XML, JSON, YAML (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Strong communication and documentation capabilities.
  • Holds a degree in IT (any field) with 2–3 years of cloud experience or 4–5 years of enterprise IT experience.
  • Knowledgeable in ITIL, SOX, and security frameworks, along with experience in agile methodologies.
  • Preferably certified as AWS Architect/Operations Associate and aware of telecommunications industry practices.

 

What you will do

  • Manage project-driven integration and support day‑to‑day administration of cloud solutions.
  • Design, develop, optimise, and deploy cloud modules and solutions in iterative agile cycles.
  • Conduct peer code reviews to maintain consistent coding standards.
  • Drive automation and integration activities for AWS cloud platforms and project tenant workloads.
  • Build and deploy AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation, Terraform, and automation tools like Ansible and Python.
  • Deliver professional technical consultancy for migrating on‑premises applications to cloud environments.
  • Design and deploy AWS Direct Connect networking between cloud and datacentre environments.
  • Train and support teams to develop AWS expertise and contribute to the establishment of DevOps culture.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud‑related issues including networking, storage, and performance.
  • Support highly critical business environments and cloud‑based DevOps processes.
