Job Role

  • Design and implement robust data management strategies to support testing and operational workflows.
  • Automate data provisioning and refresh processes across multiple environments (SIT/UAT/Pre-Prod)
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using shell scripting, SQL, and Python to streamline repetitive tasks.
  • Build and deploy Unix-based utilities for data insertion, monitoring, and validation across telecom systems.
  • Expertise in dB testing
  • Serve as a technical SME and help team with unblocking impediments
  • Analyze telecom business and technical requirements to create detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Design, develop, and execute test cases for APIs and web services using tools like Postman or SOAP UI.
  • Manage test cycles and defect tracking using JIRA
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA leads to ensure test coverage and quality.
  • Participate in test strategy discussions and contribute to continuous process improvement
  • Perform advanced SQL queries for backend validation and data analysis.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Participate and represent teams in various forums like status calls, defect triages, test case and test approach walkthroughs, etc.
  • Drive automation initiatives and optimize test processes using tools like Selenium and Jenkins
  • Provide estimations, VROMs and communicate with stakeholders together relevant inputs
  • Perform thorough impact analysis of defects with correct prioritization. And drive defects to conclusion.

 

Desired profile:

 

  • 6–8 years of experience in software testing, preferably in the telecom domain.
  • Deep understanding of BSS/OSS systems including Siebel CRM and Kennan billing.
  • Strong proficiency in API testing, SQL, and integration testing.
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA, Webmethods, and test automation tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent defect management, estimation and risk identification skills
  • Sound technical knowledge in conjunction with process adherence
  • Exposure to automation testing, basics of automation

Desired

  • ISTQB Practitioner accreditation or any other equivalent certification

Essential

  • Any graduation/post-graduation in Computer Science/Information Technology area

Desired

  • Exposure to Jenkins, Selenium, and performance testing tools is a plus.
