About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Environment Support Expert to join our Application Support function within the BQA&T, DE-TEMS department at our EON, Pune location. The individual will be responsible for managing database-related issues and providing comprehensive application support, ensuring system reliability and performance across various platforms.

What you’ll do

  • Perform regular database monitoring and health checks
  • Manage tablespace and maintain database integrity
  • Execute SQL scripts and validate database objects
  • Monitor server filesystem and disk usage
  • Manage Oracle Advanced Queuing (AQ) listeners for reliable message processing
  • Oversee materialised views and troubleshoot database links
  • Schedule and troubleshoot jobs
  • Control user privileges and access
  • Apply knowledge of RPG (desirable)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve reported issues
  • Apply understanding of ITIL framework and defect management tools such as JIRA or BMC Remedy
  • Demonstrate awareness of cloud architecture in support activities

Who you are

  • Proficient in Oracle Database Administration and SQL
  • Familiar with telecom domain applications (preferred)
  • Knowledge of RPG programming (desirable)
  • Experienced in application support and database troubleshooting
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, multi-stakeholder environment
  • Aware of ITIL processes and ticketing tools
