APIGEE Gateway Expert

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain API management solutions for cloud hosting. This may include building reusable API proxies, migrating applications and troubleshooting issue.
  • Admin Lead analytical and consulting sessions to solve technical problems, perform system health checks, and troubleshoot production issues. 
  • Traffic management: load balancing, dynamic upstream
  • Plugins ,Deployment modes and Access control

Skills required

Design, Implement & Test NFR Requirements (implement as POC, the team does the rest):
a.    Infrastructure:
i.    AWS Cloud
ii.    Databases
iii.    Connectivity Topics (address connectivity requests and execute connectivity tests)
b.    DevOps / CICD:
i.    Review Operations Concept
ii.    GitHub
•    Maintain Organization Solstice Migration: members, teams
•    Verify Repo configuration: access rights, variables & secrets, branches
iii.    GitHub Actions (Jenkins before)
•    create common Actions to be used by DevOps & Testers
•    Push the team to create common scripts/libraries
•    Do code reviews and suggest or implement optimizations
iv.    ArgoCD
•    Dashboard Verifications: running services, endpoints, logs
v.    Terraform
•    Support in structuring the work
vi.    SecretsManager, ParameterStore
•    Do reviews
•    Monitor password rotation
vii.    DeliveryNote Process
•    Monitor creation of DNs, Deployment tasks
•    Support with Jira views

i.    Do all kind of Security Assessments for our applications and add results to PPM and/or Confluence Solution Intent

v.    SCA (Mend)

e.    Support Designers & Developers
i.    Create Enabler for their Requirements
ii.    Attend SD Standup Call
f.    Testing:
i.    Testautomation Framework:
•    Develop POC using STAF Java Framework
•    Support Testers
•    Do code reviews
ii.    Performance and Load Tests:
•    Define KPIs: Load, Performance
•    Develop POC using Jmeter
•    Support Testers
•    Do code reviews
iii.    Establish Mocking Solution with WireMock
•    Introduce new Plugins, Rules, Configs, etc.
iv.    Create Postman Collection
•    Provide Tests for DevOps engineers that should be executed as sanity test
g.    Organize Go-Live Production Deployments
i.    Create Deployment plans
h.    Support & Attend FUT:
i.    Do log analysis
ii.    Track & analyze Defects
