About this Role
We are seeking a Manual Testing Specialist with 3 to 5 years of experience in the telecom domain. The individual will be responsible for validating application functionality through comprehensive testing practices, ensuring alignment with business requirements. This role involves working in Agile environments, performing database and API testing, and contributing to quality assurance across various testing phases.
What you’ll do
- Work within Agile methodology using Jira for test management.
- Perform database testing using SQL queries, Unix commands, and API validations.
- Analyse business requirements and identify test scenarios.
- Prepare and execute test cases across System, Functional, Integration, Regression, Compatibility, and GUI testing.
- Design and execute test cases and prepare detailed test reports.
- Review test cases to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
- Document testing activities for knowledge management.
- Create traceability matrices to map business requirements to test cases.
- Apply SDLC and STLC principles throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Understand CRM journeys relevant to telecom customers.
- Optionally contribute to regression automation using Java and Selenium.
Who you are
- A professional with 3 to 5 years of manual testing experience in the telecom domain.
- Proficient in SQL, Unix commands, and API testing.
- Experienced in various testing types including regression and compatibility testing.
- Skilled in Agile tools such as Jira and familiar with SDLC/STLC models.
- Strong communicator with excellent documentation and reporting skills.
- ISTQB Foundation Level certified.
- Knowledge of Java and Selenium is a plus.
