About This Role

We are seeking an Oracle Cloud Engineer to design, plan, manage, support, and operate VOIS’s Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environment. The individual will contribute to the delivery of the Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCOE) strategic roadmap, support automation, maintain secure cloud platforms, and provide technical guidance to consumers of cloud services across the organisation.

Who you are

  • Possess excellent analytical, technical and problem-solving abilities with a strong sense of creativity.
  • Bring essential hands-on experience with OCI.
  • Demonstrate experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP (desirable).
  • Manage and maintain landing zones and ensure policy-compliant security controls.
  • Proficient in Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure automation.
  • Familiar with ephemeral infrastructure, self-healing architectures, horizontal scaling, service discovery, monitoring and alerting.
  • Knowledgeable in AGILE methodologies and lifecycle/incident management tools such as JIRA.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • Bring at least 3 years of relevant cloud engineering experience.
  • Experience with configuration management, automation tools and cloud-native architectures (PaaS/IaaS, microservices, APIs).

What you will do

  • Design, plan, support and operate cloud platforms aligned with the CCOE strategic enablement roadmap.
  • Manage and automate cloud environments, including maintenance, monitoring, vulnerability remediation and security controls.
  • Provide best practice guidance on installation, configuration, upgrades and applicable patching of cloud-based services.
  • Offer technical cloud expertise to team members and business/technical stakeholders.
  • Enable OCI services and capabilities prioritised through the CCOE backlog while ensuring alignment with organisational standards.
  • Execute daily cloud operations including platform updates, remediation and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and enhance cloud automation solutions and associated documentation.
  • Build and maintain OCI landing zones with proactive and reactive security controls.
  • Work on network integrations, compartment management, identity federation, policies and secure access models (IAM).
  • Manage golden image pipelines and ensure configuration is aligned to IaC practices using GitLab repositories.
  • Support Vodafone security integrations and maintain process and procedural documentation.
  • Participate in operational calls related to landing zone management.
  • Remediate vulnerabilities across the landing zone.
