About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to ensure the performance, security, availability, and reliability of Oracle databases across business-critical environments. This role demands a blend of deep technical expertise and operational efficiency, with exposure to Exadata, Oracle RAC, Cloud platforms, and automation tools.

What you’ll do

  • Manage and optimise Oracle Database Architecture for high-performance environments.
  • Perform advanced SQL tuning, indexing, partitioning, and query optimisation.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues using AWR, ASH, SQL Profiles, and SQL Baselines.
  • Configure and optimise memory, CPU, and storage for Exadata, Oracle RAC, and Cloud deployments.
  • Apply PL/SQL for debugging and feature enhancements.
  • Implement basic OS (Linux RedHat/Oracle), storage, and networking concepts.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Ansible, and Python.
  • Monitor databases using OEM Cloud Control and third-party tools like Datadog and Grafana.
  • Leverage AWS RDS and Terraform for cloud database management.
  • Collaborate using application development tools such as GIT and Visual Studio.

Who you are

  • A technically proficient individual with advanced knowledge of Oracle database systems.
  • Skilled in performance tuning and troubleshooting complex database environments.
  • Familiar with cloud platforms and automation tools.
  • Able to work collaboratively across teams and adapt to evolving technologies.
  • Experienced in scripting and monitoring tools to drive operational efficiency.
