About this role

We are seeking a skilled Pega Decisioning Architect to lead the application development and maintenance of Vodafone’s Customer Decision Hub (CDH) platforms across the EU market. This role is ideal for individuals with deep expertise in Pega CDH, who can ensure platform stability, performance, and compliance while driving targeted enhancements. The role combines technical authority with hands-on reliability engineering and development support.

What you’ll do

  • Design and optimise decisioning strategies, engagement policies, arbitration logic, and treatments within Pega CDH.
  • Deliver enhancements that improve platform stability and value, including resiliency patterns and retry mechanisms.
  • Engineer robust integrations using REST/SOAP and Kafka, ensuring high code quality and peer-reviewed outputs.
  • Act as the application support owner for CDH, managing incident triage, service restoration, and cross-team coordination.
  • Develop observability tools including PDC/Splunk dashboards, health checks, and alerting mechanisms.
  • Lead post-incident root cause analyses and define corrective/preventive actions.
  • Optimise NBA strategies, data flows, queue processors, and containers for performance.
  • Manage capacity planning and data stewardship for Oracle and Cassandra systems.
  • Maintain runbooks, SOPs, operational dashboards, RCA reports, and upgrade playbooks with rollback plans.

Who you are

  • 4–6 years of experience in Pega, with 3–5+ years in CDH/Decisioning at scale.
  • Proven ownership of application maintenance and reliability engineering.
  • Strong expertise in NBA Designer, ADM, Prediction Studio, strategies, containers, and data flows.
  • Skilled in log analysis, performance tuning, and integration technologies (REST/SOAP).
  • Familiar with Oracle, Cassandra, SQL, Kafka, and observability tools such as PDC and Splunk.
  • Preferred certifications: CSSA, CSA, CPDC.
