About this Role

As a Public Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining cloud solutions for VOIS. This position focuses on AWS-based infrastructure, automation, and integration, supporting the organisation’s cloud transformation journey. You will collaborate across teams to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient cloud deployments while fostering a DevOps culture.

What you’ll do

  • Manage project-driven integration and day-to-day administration of AWS cloud solutions.
  • Design and build modules and solutions for Cloud Platforms using agile development cycles.
  • Conduct peer reviews and maintain coding standards.
  • Drive automation and integration activities for AWS and tenant workloads.
  • Build and deploy AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation and Terraform scripts.
  • Use Ansible and Python for routine tasks such as user management and security hardening.
  • Provide technical consultancy for migrating on-premises applications to the public cloud.
  • Design and deploy direct connect networks between AWS and data centres.
  • Train and develop AWS expertise within the organisation.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to cloud networking, storage, and performance.
  • Support the establishment of DevOps culture and methodologies.

What skills you need

  • Strong knowledge of AWS services (VPC, EC2, ECS, S3, EBS, Glacier, ELB, Elastic IPs, Lambda).
  • Expertise in automation tools (CloudFormation, Ansible, Python).
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (AWS CodePipeline, HashiCorp Stack, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience in AWS organisation and multi-tenant account setups.
  • Understanding of programming and markup languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, Ruby, SQL, XML, JSON, YAML, Python – desirable but not mandatory).
  • Degree in IT or related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in cloud computing or 4–5 years in enterprise IT.
  • Knowledge of ITIL, SOX, and security regulations.
  • AWS Architect/Operations Associate certification preferred.
  • Experience in managing business-critical environments.
  • Telecommunications industry experience is an advantage.
