About this Role

We are seeking an experienced AS400 System Operations Specialist to join our team. This role requires a strong understanding of AS400 system operations and administrator experience, with a focus on control language and AS400 commands. The ideal candidate will have a background in telecom domain/applications and be able to coordinate with different stakeholders to resolve reported issues.

What you will do

  • Manage AS400 system operations and administration.
  • Utilise control language (CL) and AS400 commands effectively.
  • Handle various job types including autostart, prestart, communication, and batch jobs.
  • Create user profiles and provide access.
  • Apply knowledge of RPG and IBM mainframe.
  • Understand and implement ITIL framework.
  • Use defect management/ticketing tools such as JIRA and BMC REMEDY.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure issue resolution.

Who you are

  • Graduate with a strong background in AS400 system operations.
  • Proficient in control language (CL) and AS400 commands.
  • Experienced in managing job types like autostart, prestart, communication, and batch jobs.
  • Knowledgeable in RPG and IBM mainframe.
  • Skilled in creating user profiles and providing access.
  • Familiar with ITIL framework and defect management/ticketing tools.
  • Excellent at coordinating with stakeholders to resolve issues.
