Must Have Skills

  1. Excellent knowledge of Unix/Linux, Oracle, Apache, Tomcat, Basic Java understanding, Knowledge of Change Control Systems (GIT, SVN)
  2. Deep Knowledge of shell scripting , phython scripting, Splunk, Networking, Snooping
  3. Knowledge, SQL and PL/SQL or NoSQL (MongoDB) and cluster/scaling setup
  4. Knowledge of regular expression's and SSL setups.
  5. Java/other application language skills in troubleshooting the applications/Customer raised  issues.
  6. Very Experienced in Log Analysis & Log4j/Logback. Analytical Troubleshooting skills in application.
  7. Experience with Cloud Environment setup, scripting and management (AWS)
  8. ITIL knowledge required (Especially Incident & Problem Mgmt, Deployment)
  9. Very Good communication, Team Player, Conflict Resolution Skills, among other soft skills
  10. Experience in configuration management processes
  11. Experience in monitoring setup (Icinga, CloudWatch)
  12. Excellent knowledge of web technologies like HTTP protocol, SSL, headers, IP, APIs
  13. Experience with Data Analysis tools such as Splunk

Good to Have Skills

  1. Experience with cross cultural work environment
  2. Experience in deployment automation tools (puppet, Ansible)
  3. Self-Starter , quick learner and result oriented person
  4. Strong focus on Quality and Service improvement
  5. Should have prior experience of E2E delivery, Agile.
  6. Experience working with cross cultural work teams, with Onsite / Offshore coordination
  7. Process Improvement and Innovation skills
  8. Knowledge of Software Rollout across various environments
  9. Experience in JVM tuning and troubleshooting (e.g. analysis of gc logs)

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. To support and operate the Vodafone service and underlying components
  2. To define setup up adequate monitoring and probing according to KPI definition as to measure service availability, performance and ensure the associated SLAs
  3. Monitor the service and detect any anomalies or problems proactively
  4. Manage incident troubleshooting both from application and infrastructure;  Resolve and liaise with the project ream for problem resolution
  5. Devise Backup/Restore strategy and setup the necessary mechanisms for implementation
  6. SPOC for Change Advisory Board and Change Management
  7. Support for software rollout and deployment using the adequate deployment strategy
  8. SPOC for PBI process including resolution, coordination and reporting 
  9. 2nd level support according to support model definition
  10. 24/7 oncall support according to support model definition
