About this Role
We are seeking a skilled Software Test Lead to deliver testing services within the IT Shared Service Centre (VSS India) for various domains and countries in a telecommunications environment. The role involves preparing and executing test plans, cases, and scripts, ensuring platforms and services meet agreed milestones, cost, and quality standards. The successful candidate will have experience in managing software testing solutions in global, distributed teams and ideally hold ISTQB certification.
What you will do
- Review and approve newly developed automations before production deployment, ensuring adherence to standards.
- Maintain production environments using incident, change, and problem management processes.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and customers as part of daily operations.
- Mentor and onboard junior team members in small groups.
- Monitor and report business line KPIs.
- Take full ownership of projects and releases within scope.
- Apply structured test methods across ST/SIT/Regression phases in complex Telco systems.
- Collaborate within cross-functional test teams in Agile/Safe models.
Who you are
- Hold a graduation degree in technology.
- Possess 5 to 10 years of experience in Test Management across the full SDLC in the telecommunications domain.
- Demonstrate experience in testing Billing, Mediation, CRM (preferably Oracle-Siebel), and Online Media portals.
- Skilled in API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Familiar with automation frameworks such as Selenium/BDD Cucumber using Java/Python.
- Proficient in SQL query validation and modification.
- Experienced in using test management tools like Jira and Xray.
- Confident communicator with strong orchestration and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to work effectively in international, distributed teams.
- Knowledgeable in structured test methods and processes.
