About this Role
We are seeking a skilled Support Specialist to join our Technology team in Pune. This role is ideal for individuals with over 4 years of experience in application support, particularly for Java Spring Boot applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving incidents, monitoring application health, and collaborating with development teams to ensure operational excellence. Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, and observability tools such as Grafana and OTEL is essential. The role requires flexibility to work in shifts, including night shifts.
What you will do
- Respond to and resolve incidents in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring SLA compliance.
- Monitor application events proactively and take appropriate action.
- Improve application reliability and maintainability through health checks and documentation.
- Collaborate with development teams during refinement sessions and UAT.
- Analyse systems to identify areas for operational improvement and implement best practices.
- Maintain and enhance documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures.
Who you are
- Minimum 4 years of experience in supporting Java Spring Boot applications.
- Proficient in AWS cloud services and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in managing production incidents.
- Familiar with debugging tools, application monitoring, and distributed logging.
- Understanding of BPMN and case management for process-related incident analysis.
- Experience with observability tools such as OTEL and Grafana.
- Basic knowledge of AWS security monitoring (IAM, audit logs).
- Willing to work in rotational shifts, including nights.
- Nice-to-have: scripting skills (Bash, Python, Go), Unix familiarity, and experience with log aggregation tools (Loki, ELK, Splunk).
