Location: Field based - South (Surrounding Areas of London)
Salary: Excellent basic salary, Bonus and Vodafone Benefits
Working Hours: Full-Time (Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week)

Join our Vodafone Business Technology Solutions team, where we support businesses of all sizes with world-class technology solutions. We design and develop our Fixed Line solutions, drive efficiency through automation and AI, and implement it all directly with our customers. 

What You’ll Do
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Engineering Specialist. This role requires a commitment to working away from home across the South UK and the flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends, as part of your fair share within the team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver data cabling projects that meet customer expectations.
  • Conduct surveys of customer premises and report findings from an installation perspective.
  • Work at heights using ladders, podium steps, and access platforms.
  • Follow plans, marked drawings, and crib sheets to carry out network cabling installations (copper and fibre).
  • Install containment and catenary wires.
  • Perform duct work using tools like a cobra.
  • Fibre splicing for both single mode and multimode fibres.
  • Provide effective cover for Engineering Technical Leads and Authorities during installations.
  • Produce Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMs).

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in network cabling installations within customer premises.
  • Ability to work at height.
  • Networking and PC skills.
  • Suitable for a commercial electrician with data cabling skills.

 

Who You Are

  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience.
  • Proficient in installing copper and fibre.
  • Knowledge of firestopping, CPD, and vendor training.
  • Hold or willing to obtain: Firestopping qualifications, SC clearance, IOSH, CCNSG, ECS cards, Face fit training, Excel Cabling Partner Training, MEWPs certification, PASMA certification, Certified Network Cable Installer, Certified Integrated Infrastructure Technician, CAT2 in electrical works, Certified Network Infrastructure Technician, and ECSE Design for site surveys.
  • Experience as a commercial electrician with containment is advantageous.
  • Willingness to understand Vodafone business, align with H&S policies, and develop skills.
