Enterprise Architect Lead
What will you do
The Senior Enterprise Architect focuses upon defining, designing, maintaining, and evolving the development and implementation of architecture solutions to particular business cases in alignment with the architecture direction and standards.
The Architect Specialist performs market agnostic technical planning, architecture development and modifies specifications as well as developing specifications for new products/apps/services and assessing the compatibility and integration of products and services to ensure functionality across interdependent technologies. He/she acts as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on technology strategy, innovation, and risk.
The Senior Enterprise Architect drives the evolution of architecture standards, frameworks, and roadmaps at the enterprise level. He/she should be able to enter into low level design in exceptional cases (as usually this is done from other roles) and suggest the direction being able to identify and evaluate the pros and the cons.
Job Responsibilities
- Supports the team to deliver activities related to developing technical stories which are aligned to defined architecture principles and patterns in line with the architecture vision and standards;
- Demonstrates a very good understanding of procedures and concepts through extensive experience and advices on design, development, and deployment of digital architecture practices, standards, patterns and innovations;
- Effectively interacts with colleagues through ensuring the holistic solution design of future capabilities and features, including external dependencies, cross-domain integrations (APIs), and technical enablers/stories, etc.;
- Owns the solid relations with the system integrator to ensure the solutions being delivered are aligned with Vodafone standards;
- Collaborates with the team to scout new technologies and vendors to enable innovation and identify technical enablers;
- Supports with providing strategic input and planning for large infrastructure initiatives/projects across the product’s lifecycle;
- Supports assisting with the creation of Requests For Proposal (RFPs) on technical requirements, evaluation of answers and supplier short-listing during RFP process;
- Uses communication skills on foundational architecture best practices and disruptive technologies and their implications;
- Creation and maintenance of architectural documentation
- Reporting of KPIs on IT architecture
- Support in the creation and maintenance of architecture roadmaps or architecture runways by developing partial results
Who you are
- Degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics or similar
- (Preferred) 3 years of professional experience in IT solution design
- At least 5 years of experience in Software Engineering and very familiar with microservices, Java and Springboot.
- Good knowledge of English (Level B)
- Good knowledge of the telecommunications market and telecommunications products
- Good technical knowledge of the architecture of IT systems at a telecommunications provider
- (Preferred) Be familiar with TMForum or Open APIs.
- Very good communication skills to be able to create very good relations with the business and technology stakeholders.
- Deeply expressed ability to drive projects from conception to final design in a collaboration with the Solution Architects.
- Architecture and Design: Translate user needs into solutions aligned with business goals, tracking disruptive technologies.
- Cloud: Design and optimize XaaS and hybrid architectures aligned with public cloud services.
- Security: Manage cyber security activities, ensuring system integrity with secure-by-design principles.
- Dev Ops: Promote agile practices and automation to enhance collaboration between operations and development.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data and analytics for informed decisions and problem-solving.
