About this Role

We are seeking a Junior 2nd Line Voice Core Operation to join our Network Operation team in Bucharest, Romania. In this role, you will provide second-level operational support for Mobile Voice Core platforms in a multi-vendor environment, ensuring service continuity and quality. You will work closely with 1st Line Operations teams to analyse alarms, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventive measures. This position involves managing critical systems such as HLR, HSS, EIR, OneNds, SDL, PAG, FMP, GCC, and Digitalk, while supporting software rollouts and integration activities.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver 2nd level support for applications, services, and infrastructures within the Voice Core environment (HLR, HSS, EIR, OneNds, SDL, PAG, FMP, GCC, Digitalk).
  • Define and monitor service level agreements and KPIs, ensuring compliance and proactively addressing potential issues.
  • Identify and implement optimisation measures to prevent incidents and improve system performance.
  • Manage escalations and support roll-outs of new systems, services, and software.
  • Act as a key contact and knowledge-sharing resource across departments.

Who you are

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage incidents and emergency situations effectively.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working across multi-functional and cultural teams.
  • Solid understanding of network architectures and vendor technologies, particularly Nokia Voice Core elements.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (mandatory); Italian is an advantage.
  • University degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or Information Technology.
  • 2–3 years of experience in telecommunications in a similar role.
  • Scripting knowledge (Linux, Python, Ansible) is desirable.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on minimising customer impact.
