Roaming Support Specialist
Your day to day:
The roaming support specialist is responsible for processing technical customer complaints relating to all international mobile roaming services. The aim is to restore the full technical scope of roaming services for the customer as quickly as possible as part of the incident and problem management process
With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:
- Analysis and troubleshoot of both inbound & outbound roaming issues for different technologies 2G/3G/4G/5G to restore service for the customer
- Ensuring Vodafone network configuration is updated according to the latest updates of the IR21s of the other network operators
- Work closely with Roaming partners, 3rd party suppliers and network nodes owners within 2nd line support technical teams
- Check Roaming KPIs to stay within the targets and that we meet all of our roaming SLAs
- Deliver reactive management on technical issues, responding to support requests, Remedy, e-mail and escalations.
With these skills you are a great candidate:
- Good knowledge of 2G/3G/4G Inbound / Outbound Voice & Data Roaming call flows, International SMS 2G/3G/4G/5G, GRX, VoLTE roaming service network architecture and service specific support tools
- Good working knowledge of Geoprobe and Wireshark tracing functionality
- A collaborative working style – communicate and work well in a team environment
- Good knowledge of SS7, Sigtran, MAP and CAMEL Protocols
- Good knowledge of Linux and python scripting is a plus
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- 3+ years of operational experience of IT/Telecom support
- University degree/Technical university
- Excellent verbal and written English language communications skills
