Voice Core Engineer 2nd Line
Your day to day:
Preventive and corrective second level troubleshooting ensuring quality, continuity of service and the restoring time for Voice Core Network elements. In collaboration with 1st Line Operations teams, work out procedures related to the analysis of alarms in order to detect and eliminate faults. Perform data configuration, software rollout and support integration activities with planning and delivery functions.

- As a Voice Mobile Core Specialist, you are responsible for providing 2nd level support for applications, services and infrastructures in the Voice Mobile Core environment CSDB, HSS, HLR, UDM, MSS, MGW, STP
- You define and track service level agreements and system KPIs for the responsible services and monitor their compliance and react proactively to impending violations of target values and quality restrictions with the involvement of the other 2nd level teams required for this.
- You will independently identify and implement optimisation measures to prevent incidents.
- You are responsible for escalation management and execute or support roll-outs of new systems, services and software
- You act as a contact person and escalation level within the team and transfer know-how across departments.
With these skills you are a great candidate:
- Basic understanding of mobile core protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, SCTP, GTP, Radius, Diameter, LDAP, SIGTRAN, RANAP, GMM).
- Voice mobile Core E2E network analysis and troubleshooting, problem and change management. Analyse and interpret traces (Wireshark traces, network element traces, logs).
- Good knowledge of mobile network architectures 2G/4G/5G with experience in main vendors technologies (Nokia, E//).
- English (spoken and written) and German (reading, listening and willing to develop).
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Hands on experience with Voice Core elements (CSDB, HSS, HLR, UDM, MSS, MGW, STP).
- Scripting knowledge (Linux, Python, Ansible) desirable.
- University degree: faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology
- 2 years of experience in Telecommunication, on similar position.
