What you’ll do

The IT Solution Design Manager provides expert knowledge, designing and leading the implementation of a solution and the application architecture (e.g. for a particular platform/business capability/user journey) according to the overall vision and target IT architecture.  
The IT Solution Design Manager focusses upon the supervision of a team who conduct technical analysis enabling the translation of the technical vision into a holistic solution design of future capabilities and features, including external dependencies, cross-domain integrations (APIs), and technical enablers / stories.
Typically reports to the Senior IT Solution Design Manager.

Who you are

  • Proven technical SME capability of 10+ years working with Hyperion Financial Management/Essbase Analytics environments.
  • Sound Knowledge in Hyperion Installation & Configuration activities in a distributed environment.
  • Sound Knowledge on EPM issue troubleshooting and Performance tuning activities.
  • Sound knowledge on EPM patching activities.
  • Fair knowledge on Windows administration activities.
  • Sound Knowledge on EPM infrastructure administration activities.
  • Fair knowledge on windows scripting, PowerShell scripting, batch scheduler.
  • Sound knowledge on L2 support activities including incident management, change management, and Problem investigation.
  • Hyperion Shared Services, Provisioning & Life Cycle Management.
  • Fair knowledge on Hyperion Essbase, BSO/ASO, Partitioning
  • Hyperion Essbase Analytics Link, Transparent, Replicated & Relational Bridges.
  • Working understanding Data Sync Server Synchronization, Region definition & Management
  • Oracle RDBMS - working understanding of RDBMS structures SQL, PL/SQL PowerShell, Batch files, Task Scheduler
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to communicate both verbal and in writing at all levels – i.e. Senior Management, Business Stakeholders, Global Process Owner/Lead and external/internal System Integrator.
  • Active listener: ability to translate business requirements into solutions and to identify gaps between those requirements and the existing Core Business Model.
  • Ability to quickly understand and adopt Vodafone’s way of working and to follow/adhere to internal processes and procedures.
